The second day we went to Monterey and took the kids to Dennis the Mennace Park. It was the most amazing free outdoor park we'd seen. There was an old train the kids could climb on, very creative outdoor structures and a slide built into the hill. Then we went to the Monterey Children's Museum. With our Nevada State Children's Museum membership, we have reciprocal membership to most children's museums in the country. So we can visit them for free. It's pretty cool! You can see from the pictures that the kids had a wonderful time there as well!

Our Santa Cruz Adventure: January 5-9, 2012
Cali, Landon, Maddie and I stayed at Cali's parent's beach house in Santa Cruz over a long weekend. The weather was amazing! We were in short sleeves at one point on the trip. The first full day we rented bicycles, attached our ibert front seats to them and took the toddlers for a ride along the beach in Capitola. They loved it of course. Then we spent a couple hours playing in the sand and even the water.
