The Freeman Family Visit: July 14-17th, 2012
We were so excited to have Amanda, Jason and all the kiddos (Jacob, Ty and Logan) visit us for the first time here in Reno! We had so much fun! We spent a day playing in the sand and water at the beach and then back at home in the backyard. The weather was perfect! We also went to the Children's Museum. We can't wait for them to come visit us again!

Maddie got to meet Bob the Builder ("a character") at Art town
Here's a picture from our second trip to the dentist. If only Madeline would sit that still for Mommy and Daddy to brush her teeth!

3rd Annual Crews-Holman Family Camping Trip: July 5-7, 2012
Since Madeline and Landon were eight and five months old, we have made a yearly camping trip with the Holman family. The first year the kids were barely learning to crawl, but by this year they were able to carry their own little backpacks and hike portions of the trail. We went out to Tahoe Meadows. It was a great destination for the kids because there was a lot of open area for them to run and play, but we also had the seclusion of the pine trees. We stayed two nights. The first day we set up camp in the backcountry. Landon and Madeline really enjoyed helping out when they could. They were very curious about food preparation and setting up the tent. It was so much fun to see them really use their imaginations in the great outdoors! The second day we hiked up the Tahoe Rim Trail to the top of a mountain with a beautiful view of Lake Tahoe. Then we descended back down to the meadows to splash around in Ophir Creek. Of course, Judy had a blast too chasing all sorts of critters.

Getting ready to hit the trail
"Helping" Jackson push the wagon
Taking a break to swing in the hammock.
Balancing one minute and riding their "motorcycle" the next
Playing in their "kitchen" and "workshop"

Madeline decided to scrub the deck down by the creek with her socks!
Check out the coyote! He was hunting moles.
Madeline sipped hot cocoa as we packed up to head home.
