The Virginia-Truckee Railroad train turns into the Polar Express train for the month of December. Kids ride the festively, decorated train in their pajamas all the way to the North Pole, where it picks up Santa. Along the way, kids are served hot chocolate and cookies and read the story
The Polar Express by elves. Santa has a photo op with the children and gives them a small bell just like in the story. Then the train travels back to the station in Carson City, all in one hour. How magical!
