Earth Day April 22, 2011

Madeline enjoyed a fun filled morning at the Creative Arts Center's "I'm not too little" Earth Day workshop. She splashed around in the water tables outside, helped make a recycled flower craft, and played on the indoor playgrounds. There was even a table where kids could touch worms in a dirt bucket. Madeline was not into that at all!

The instructor who runs and owns the center started it because her preschool aged daughter has a sensory overload disorder, and she wanted to create a special place where her daughter would get to explore different activities with little structure. There were several themed rooms that allowed for just those kinds of experiences.

The owner also teaches dance classes to older children in her studio. The workshop today was free, and she plans to have more during the summer.
